2019 Suffolk County St. Patrick's Day Events and Parades 

From the first weekend of March till the last, it will seem that every one on Long Island is Irish.  Main Streets across Suffolk County will host St. Patrick's Day events and come alive with bag pipes, parades, traditional food, music, dancing, and more.
Most of these local events are very affordable or FREE, ideal for families, and appropriate for everyone from first-generation Irish-Americans to those who just want to be Irish for a day. Irish Dance for Children — Huntington Station Sunday, March 3 Enjoy a performance by teachers and students of the Mulvihill-Lynch Studio of Irish Dance at the Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site. St. Patrick's Day East Islip Parade - East Islip​ Sunday, March 3rd The parade starts at 2pm. FREE EVENT St. Patrick's Day Celebration - Stony Brook Sunday, March 3rd Enjoy live Irish music and dance from 1:30 -4:30 pm at The Ward Melville Heritage Organization Educational and Cultural Center. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children under 12. Irish Heritage Cooking — Bayville Tuesday, March 5th Join Chef Barbara Sheridan for this Irish cooking class at Bayville Library. We suggest going hungry as there will be plenty of food to sample.  $5 entry fee, advanced purchase required. Over the Rainbow Cupcakes - Huntington Station Wednesday, March 6th Kids grades K - 5 are invited to come decorate St. Patrick's Day cupcakes at the Huntington Station Library. Advanced registration is required. FREE EVENT Bay Shore-Brightwaters Parade — Bay Shore Saturday, March 9th The parade starts at 2 pm rain or shine. FREE EVENT Cutchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade — Cutchogue Saturday, March 9th Join local merchants, sports teams, and the Cutchogue Fire Department at the North Fork’s largest parade, stepping off at 2pm. FREE EVENT 52nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade — Westhampton Beach Saturday, March 9th The East End community recognizes Irish-American traditions and its hometown heroes. The theme for the 2019 Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be “Dawg Days of Summer. FREE EVENT Bayport-Blue Point Parade — Bayport Sunday, March 10th Celebrate Irish heritage at this parade down Montauk Highway beginning at 11am. FREE EVENT Huntington St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Huntington Village Sunday, March 10th The 85th edition of the parade begins near the Huntington Long Island Rail Road station. Be sure to arrive early, more than 50,000 people are expected to attend this year. FREE EVENT St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt - Babylon Friday, March 15th The Babylon Library will be hosting themed crafts between 3 and 4:30 pm, including a leprechaun scavenger hunt. No Registration required. FREE EVENT St. Patrick's Day Parade - St. James Saturday, March 16th Parade Starts at 1pm. The parade goes along Lake Avenue. from Woodlawn to Railroad Avenue. FREE EVENT Friends of St. Patrick Parade — Miller Place-Rocky Point Sunday, March 17th The 68th annual parade starts along Harrison Avenue in Miller Place and ends at North Country Road in Rocky Point. FREE EVENT "May the Road Rise to Meet Ye” 5K Run, Walk and Parade – Patchogue Sunday, March 17th The Patchogue parade is unique in that it starts with the annual running of the May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 5k at 11:55am with the parade following immediately. The Parade runs along Main Street from Route 112 east to West Avenue  FREE EVENT Friends of Erin St. Patrick's Day Parade – Montauk Sunday, March 24th Montauk's parade is one of the largest St. Patrick’s parades in New York State. Be sure to arrive early for a good spot. FREE EVENT Ronkonkoma St. Patrick's Day Parade – ​Ronkonkoma Sunday, March 24th The parade starts at 2 pm on the corner of Patchogue-Holbrook Road and Portion Road. FREE EVENT Sixth Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade –  Jamesport Saturday, March 30th Complete your St. Patrick's Day celebrations by watching the Mattituck Irish Step Dancers, Cathy Stringer Horse Show and more as they march down North Railroad Avenue and Washington Avenue.
