Street Naming Ceremony of Late NYPD Sergeant

Councilman Loguercio Attends Street Naming Ceremony of Late NYPD Sergeant Farmingville, NY- On June 15, Councilman Michael Loguercio had the honor and privilege to take part in the Street Naming Ceremony of the late NYPD Sergeant, Paul M. Ferrara. Sergeant Ferrara gave his all to his family, the 110th Police Precinct, and his country. He bravely responded to the September 11th attacks and passed away in 2014 from health complications that so many 9/11 responders unfortunately succumb to. The NYPD and its Ceremonial Unit conducted the ceremony on the corner of West End Avenue and Flower Hill Drive in Shirley. Police Officials and Officers from the NYPD and Suffolk County flooded the streets in Sergeant Ferrara's honor. In attendance was Sgt. Ferrara’s wife Kerrie and their son Paul Jr. along with the Councilman, Supervisor Romaine, countless community members and the Brookhaven Fire Department. “We thank Sgt. Paul M. Ferrara for his outstanding service to the NYPD. His commitment and passion to uphold the law is appreciated by all of us. Sergeant Ferrara's legacy will live on through his wife, Kerrie, and their son, Paul Jr.”
