Bellport HS Students Clean Up Village Marina

Bellport High School students braced the cold on January 10th to clean up the Bellport Village Marina, also known as “The Dock,” after a winter storm partially flooded the location. The activity was sponsored by the Key Club under the direction of co-advisers Lori Dougherty and Meredith McCarthy. The student-volunteers collected four large trash bags of paper and plastic debris to assist in preserving the local bay area and to prevent a negative impact on the ecosystem.
