Turkey Trots are as much of a Thanksgiving tradition as turkey, but where did the tradition come from?
In 1896, six runners made their way down a small, dirt road in Buffalo, completing what was the first Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. More than century later, it is a country-wide phenomenon. Here are four Suffolk Country 2018 Trot Spots :
