Toast Restaurant Expansion Approved

The always-packed Toast Coffeehouse just had their application for a Patchogue expansion approved by the board tonight. The Port Jeff import has done very well in Patchogue, with long lines and an hour waits becoming the norm most weekend mornings. So well in fact that owner Terry Scarlatos is now looking to expand. While not a pure expansion of the restaurant itself, it was described to the board as a permanent home for Toast's Events and Catering business.  The new space will also have a small storefront shop where merchandise from Toast and other local vendors will be available for purchase. Previous tenant The Dusty Attic closed early last year, setting the stage for the expansion. Toast currently occupies a little over 4,000 square feet of space and will add approximately 2,000 additional square feet to its footprint with this expansion. The main restaurant will also be getting a face-lift during the expansion and the board re-approved plans for a solarium outside in the courtyard area. These plans were part of the original proposal for Toast Coffeehouse Patchogue, but rapid expansion into Bay Shore prevented the plans from coming to fruition...until now. We reached out to Toast for further details about when the plans are looking to happen and will update you here soon!
